Our highly skilled team of experts here at Plymouth Dental Centre of excellence can help you achieve your perfect smile. One of the options we provide to our patients are veneers, they make the teeth look natural, healthy and provide an aesthetically pleasing finish. Veneers are useful for closing small gaps, changing the shape of crooked teeth or improving the colour of stained and discoloured teeth. They are also a great long-term solution, as porcelain veneers typically last for 10 years with adequate care and hygiene, often longer!
In order for veneers to be attached to your existing tooth, a small part of the enamel is removed, doing this creates enough room for the veneer to sit in-between your teeth and creates a straight finish. A mould and/or scan is taken of your mouth in order for your veneers to be created at the lab, after which you’ll be provided with a temporary veneer until your bespoke ones arrive.
When attaching your new set, an acidic compound is placed on your teeth in order to create a rough surface for your veneers to easily bond to. Once bonded, you’re ready to showcase your new smile!
Composite build-ups (also known as composite restoration or composite bonding) is a great way to improve the aesthetics of your smile. Whether you’d like to improve the colour, shape, size or straightness of your teeth – our team can provide you with a great solution to achieve the smile that you desire. Composite build-ups are also a great solution to repair chipped or broken teeth; that may have been caused trauma.
Made from a tooth-coloured resin mix, composite build-ups are a popular solution to improve the appearance of your smile in a minimally invasive fashion. Your dentist will discuss the various options available to you during your consultation, such as whitening, so that the composite matches the colour of your teeth; to create a finish that appears virtually indistinguishable.
During your consultation, your dentist will gain an understanding of what you want to achieve, to be able to provide you with the options available to you. Porcelain veneers are a great, long-term solution to improve the appearance of your smile. Whereas, composite bonding is suitable for someone looking to make less substantial adjustments or better suited to patients who prefer less invasive treatments.
During your appointment, your dentist will provide you with information on the options that are suitable for your needs, including finance options to spread the cost of your treatment into manageable monthly payments (terms apply).
