Our highly skilled and experienced team here at Plymouth Dental will do all we can to save a tooth, however, we understand that in some cases, this isn’t possible and a tooth or teeth may need to be removed.
The comfort of our patients is at the forefront of all dental care carried out here, so you’re in the right hands!
Healthy teeth can last somebody a lifetime, although there are some cases where tooth removals are necessary – it may be as a result of dental decay, infection, problematic wisdom teeth or to allow room for orthodontic treatment.
Prior to performing an extraction, your dentist will discuss the procedure with you; making sure that your medical history is taken in to account, to ensure that it’s the safest option. Then, local anesthetic is applied to the area that the removal will take place to ensure that it’s numb.
Some extractions can be more complex, in which case, a surgical extraction may occur.
With everyone’s case being unique to the patient, it’s often difficult to provide an accurate cost of a treatment plan without a prior consultation. During this, your dentist will explore all of the options available to you, including finance options to spread the cost of your treatment into manageable monthly instalments.
