Root Canal Therapy (Endodontics)

Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics) at Plymouth Dental

Root canal therapy, otherwise known as endodontic treatment, is a sequence of treatments on the infected pulp of a tooth. The treatment results in the elimination of the infection, which can often save teeth from having to be removed.

Our team of experts here at Plymouth Dental possess a wealth of knowledge and experience, providing our patients with exemplary endodontic treatment.

What is Root Canal Treatment?

Root canal treatment is used to repair and potentially save a tooth that is badly decayed or infected. If left untreated, abscesses and infections may form in the tissue surrounding the tooth.

The process of treating the relevant area, includes removing the nerve and pulp, followed by cleaning bacteria from inside the tooth; which is then sealed.
